Chapter Title Description Characters
Introduction 40 000 years ago, humans created arkships and departed Earth. The initial arkships that arrived at the Centauri Cluster settled it and expanded into Celestial civilization. Subsequent arkships continue to arrive and their relatively primitive peoples are redirected towards protected irrelevant worlds.
Prelude: The First Fall of Kelowan POV Liliana: Warships of the other 5 Queens of the Dominion descend upon all 13 habitable planets of the Kelowan system in order to sack Queen Zuberi-Dulcina and her dynasty. Liliana reflects that she is scheduled for execution by the invaders due to her status as ex-Princess to Zuberi. Liliana inspects a Mara Yama captured about a decade ago and kept in free-fall form. Liliana completes a DNA rewrite of Princess Khepri, granting her great physical power and the amortality as Zuberi's final vessel. Zuberi arrives on her carriage constructed of melded bodies of political dissidents. A brief description of Duchess Immalan who protested against Zuberi. A brief history of Zuberi and Liliana's schemes to deploy mind-dominating technologies to improve their own biology to compete with and overtake the Elohim. Zuberi uses a taboo technique to copy, not transfer, her mind into Kepri. Liliana oversees the literal liquidation of the captive Maru Yama. Zuberi, Khepri, Liliana, and Colonel Dagon all evacuate the palace. Zuberi departs separately in her flesh carriage. Liliana, Dagon, and Iuntin depart with guards and the unconscious Khepri to a monorail station 2000 km away. Dagon informs Liliana of the plan to fight the Accord Armada. They board a stealth spaceplane bound for the nondescript freighter Morieux. The Kelowan Navy breaks stealth and engages the Accord Navy as the Morieux departs towards the Tinaja Gate of Heaven. Liliana, Zuberi-Dulcina, Khepri, Dagon, Iuntin-Ky
