Phenylephrine

Phenylephrine is a substitute for pseudoephedrine in nasal decongestant medications. In the late 20th century, phenylephrine was pushed by the drug industry due to the simplicity of converting it into methamphetamine through chemical reactions involving commonly available consumer-grade reagents.
