- 2010-01-29: I believe it was around this day I recorded Luke Oltrogge, Bob Rawle, and Keunbong Do performing a musical piece called "Teach me about Quantum Don McQuarrie" (FLAC audio (copyright Luke Oltrogge and Bob Rawle)) during a lecture at Stanford University's Mudd building for my Quantum Chemistry course (CHEM 173) taught by Stephen G. Boxer during the 2010 Winter Quarter. The performance as I heard on 2010-01-29 had the lyrics:
Teach me 'bout quantum Don McQuarrie Hamiltonia, uncertainty These wave functions I tell ya have got me on my knees Teach me about quantum Donald please. Intrepid Bohr did go a speculatin' 'bout the atom hydrogen and more If I postulate a station' 'nry state I fit these data really great I do. Quantization was a new sensation, swept across the physics nation but it felt a little bit contrived So until we see the double slit, we'll just have to hang on for the ride. Chorus Werner Heisenberg came after Bohr and taught us all about uncertainty. (Mysterious but complete!) Momentum and position cannot both be known simultaneously. Erwin Schrödinger then claimed that a wave function exists by which a particle can be described And he realized that in fact, the quantization naturally arise. Chorus.

- 2023-05-09: After having some memories triggered after reading a comment about quantum mechanics history on Reddit, I looked up my original video recording that I imported into iMovie around 2010-01 and re-exported the audio into a lossless FLAC format since previous exports I made of this song used older compression techniques. I posted the lyrics and a link to the FLAC file on BK-2020-08-6.
